John Burge's Tractor Badges
John corresponded with me the week of August 20,
2007. He is offering these lapel pins (badges) for sale at a VERY
reasonable price. To contact him via email use the address
john.burge3 at btinternet.com. If you wish
to phone him, send me an email and I will forward his number to you.
My name is John Burge and I live in at 7
Trem-yr-Orsedd, Machynlleth, Powys, Wales, UK. SY20 8DE
I was a founder of "Ferguson Heritage" in
the UK, and I am a lifetime member. My life has been tractors, and I
worked as a manager in the factory at Coventry where the famous
TE-20 was built. I started working after the production of the
TE-20, but working there was wonderful. I started in 1964 when the
one hundred series went into production and worked in many
departments, and I enjoyed my working life and traveled to many
countries with my job. I am now retired and kept busy with my
tractors and a side line on enamel lapel badges tractor and land
rover badges. I would like to think they are the best.
My own tractor collection consists of a Ferguson
Brown 1938, a Ferguson 20 diesel, Ferguson FE-35 Grey and Bronze,
MF-35 vineyard, and two MF-135's.
The tractor badges are 1 3/8" wide by 3/4" tall,
and the Ferguson script is 1 7/8" wide x 3/8" tall. The price is
Ł3.25 each plus 75p for postage and packing, and should anyone
require more than one in the same order, I give them free postage
after the first one.
