Hello there! Wow, great site. Found lots of interesting and helpful things. I have a 1951 ferguson TO30. I inherited it from my grandpa - he was not the original owner but had it all through my childhood (I'm 45 years old now) until he passed away in 1981. I now live in the old farm house and property where this lil baby has resided the majority of its life. It has been sitting for the last 10 years and I just started restoring it. Parts have been relatively easy to find thanks to your website. There are a few small minor things I have not been able to find but I'm gaining for sure. Today I got the final engine parts on it and fired it up. She was a little tight at first but started right up and sounds great. I have never taken on a project like this but I can tell you when I heard her fire off, omg, what a feeling. Well I'm gonna close for now I hope you all have a great day, and hope to hear from you all. When I get her all painted up and shiny I'll send pics.
Nice web-site, it is now in my favorites. I am also a member of FENA and have been only able to make the show last year at Waverly, NE. Hope to make the one in Indiana next year. I have a 1953 TO-30 with a 2 row cultivator and a Ferguson blade.
When I wrote before to tell you of the unknown rider on Jennabelle Mullikins tractor I didn't realize that others had the same tractor. I am the first picture in row 9 wearing a red shirt and with the umbrella open. Just thought to clarify after looking back again. Bob Olson
I have just acquried a 1952 TO30. It is the first tractor I have ever owned, so I know nothing and am looking for help. When I bought a bush hog for it, I found that the PTO drive shaft and the PTO output shaft did not fit. Is this because the output shaft is worn or is it a smaller size than the drive shaft? [From Rick: The original TO shafts were indeed smaller than the current standard. Adapters are available, as well as overrunning clutches with the adaption built-in.]
I am sitting on the tractor #34 owned by Jennabelle that you have listed as unknown operator taken at the 2007 show at Mt. Pleasant. I likewise am a member of FENA and have owned a Fergie 40 for some 32 years now. I bought mine at a closing out farm auctioon in January 1976 and drove it home 32 miles in 20 degree weather, and nearly froze my arse. I use my tractor a lot for moving snow and mowing the pasture. I do have a 2 bottom Fergie plow for it but have never really learned how to plow. You took a lot of really good photos at the show - good job.
